Advertiser standards

Who can advertise, and the standards we all follow

Advertising platforms set rules to protect people who see ads. This page explains what to expect, so there are no surprises.

Who can advertise

Only approved swyftec vendors

Every swyftad advertiser is an approved swyftec vendor. You register on swyftec, and a member of our team reviews your application by hand. swyftad is in early access, and it opens to approved vendors when we switch it live.

Three steps to advertise

  1. Register as a vendor on swyftec.
  2. Our team approves your vendor account.
  3. When swyftad opens, set up a campaign, self-service or managed.
  • Platform verification

Advertising platforms may ask you to verify your identity or your business. This can include a government ID or company documents.

    • The verified legal name and location can be shown publicly, for example in ad disclosures and transparency tools.
    • Keep your business name, address and website details accurate, and the same everywhere.
    • Incomplete verification can pause or restrict a campaign. Platforms can also show fewer ads from advertisers that are not verified.
  • Who your ads are shown for

swyftad opens and runs a separate advertising account for each advertiser, so your ads never share an account with another business.

    • In the EU, ads show who they are for and who paid for them.
    • For your ads, that is your business as the advertiser and swyftad as the payer.
  • Your website and landing pages

The page you advertise is part of your ad. Platforms check it.

    • The page must work, be reachable by search crawlers and match the website address in your ad.
    • Show clear business and contact details.
    • Have an accurate privacy notice and a cookie consent banner that meet EU rules, before any tracking starts.
    • Some categories must show extra details, such as a physical address or fees.
  • Honest advertising

Ads must be truthful and clear.

    • Be clear about who you are and what you sell.
    • Do not promise results that you cannot prove.
    • State the real terms of any offer, such as a free trial or a discount.
  • Restricted and regulated categories

Some categories need extra checks, licences or certification before a platform allows ads. Financial services, healthcare, gambling and alcohol are common examples. Some cannot be accepted.

    • Ask us before you plan a campaign in one of these categories.
    • We do not run political, election or social-issue ads that target the EU.
  • Customer data and consent

If you share customer information to build audiences or to measure sales, you confirm that you collected valid consent first. The platforms require it, and EU privacy rules apply.

  • What swyftad does for you

We take the platform work off your hands.

    • We run the advertising accounts and handle the platform set-up.
    • We guide you through verification and tell you what a platform asks for.
    • Every quote and invoice states that the swyftad price includes the advertising platform's media cost and the swyftad management fee.
    • You can ask us for your advertising account ID at any time.

Good to know

Rules change

Platform rules change, and the platform's own policy always applies. This page is general guidance, not legal advice. We cannot guarantee that a platform approves an advertiser or an ad.

Read the platforms' own policies: Google Ads policies and Meta advertising standards. Microsoft Advertising and TikTok publish theirs too.
